The Kishwaukee Sunrise Rotary Club is proud to announce that they will be once again hosting this year's "Taste of DeKalb" on September 25, 2022. This is fourth edition of the food, beverage and entertainment event will directly follow the Corn Classic 10K and take place at Frank Van Buer Plaza in downtown DeKalb. Local food vendors will be set up, some in food trucks, to provide some of the best food DeKalb County has to offer. Local entertainment events will also be offered for everyone's enjoyment. There is no admission to the event!
The Kishwaukee Sunrise Rotary Club provides a $10,000 Community Grant for Children, Youth and Families of DeKalb County every year. Sponsorship dollars from the Taste of DeKalb will go towards supporting next year's grant. In 2020, the Kishwaukee Family YMCA was awarded the grant to help purchase materials supporting their summer camps. The club has awarded over $40,000 to local non-profits in DeKalb County over the past five years. It is the hope of the Kishwaukee club to grow their fundraising efforts and community grant levels in the future - so come support this event and play your part in this important work!
